Adult Study Group

Everyone is welcome.

The Adult Study Group was established in 2011 to provide a forum for the sharing of ideas and information on religious and philosophical topics. Historically the group meet monthly from October through June to discuss a wide range of topics from Biblical archaeology to issues of contemporary Jewish significance.

At present, the centre offers various programs to enrich adult Jewish learning:

- Exploring the Talmud is a program that focuses on talmudic teachings in both historical and modern contexts, taught by local scholar and attorney Fred Nudel. The group meets Wednesday evenings at the WRSSJCC.

- The WRSSJCC Women's Well Circle meets monthly on Rosh Chodesh. Women gather to recharge and reconnect by discussing the spiritual reality of the current Jewish month, considering goals, socializing, and growing together.

- The WRSSJCC Book Club meets on the second Tuesday of the month, and selects books with either a Jewish author or Jewish content or themes. Contact: bookclubjcc@gmail.com

Holiday events and services focus on Jewish life and learning.
